In 2001, I completed the Advanced Certificate in Botanical Illustration at the Margaret Saul School of Botanical Illustration with Margaret Saul and Gillian Rankin and was part of the Gardens Project at Mount Coot-tha.
Over the years I have attended many masterclasses workshops with renowned botanical artists such as, Susannah Blaxhill, Louise Saunders, Margaret Saul, David Mackay, Gail Higgins, Leonie Norton and John Pastoriza-Pinol, but to name a few.
I have learnt many techniques in the use of watercolour and drybrushing taught to me by Susannah Blaxhill, it is an art that I love. I also dabble in coloured pencil and graphite.

I developed an interest in hanging exhibitions and went on to become the head hanger for the prestigious Immanuel College Arts Festival 2001 to 2014 and then again 2015–16 Assistant Gallery Consultant.
My other love is pastel painting. My first teacher and mentor in pastel was Ann White of Montville and my favourite subjects are portraits, life drawing and still life. I have attended many workshops and classes with renowned artists, and exhibited and sold artwork from 1998.
Painting to me is always a great form of relaxation and inner peace, most of all the enjoyment of creating a beautiful piece of artwork. I enjoy painting most types of plants from Australian Natives to Exotics but one of my favourite is to paint a beautiful orchid.
Teaching Botanical Art gives me great pleasure in seeing my students learning the art of botanical painting and drawing and I enjoy being part of a wonderful small group of botanical artist on the Sunshine Coast. Watercolours and graphite are my preferred medium.
