Shipra Shah

‘Life makes surprises if you follow your dreams;
                And leads you to your true calling.’
Shipra has trained for five years at Sir J.J School of Arts a premier art institute in Mumbai, India with a degree in Fine Arts.
She has worked as a Visual Merchandiser and Set Designer for seven years and has gained extensive experience in Store Planning and Graphic Art. Throughout this period, Shipra has continued her love for drawing and watercolor painting.
Over the years her works include animated art, greeting card design and detailed watercolor paintings. Her eye for detail and perseverance to translate it into her work has been consistent.
After moving to Brisbane in 2007, she lived in a beautiful townhouse surrounded with flora and fauna where she got into the habit of gardening and collecting leaves and intriguing remains of plants.
This, combined with her passion for watercolor painting, gave her the fuel to start formal training in botanical art with Margaret Hastie, after which she never looked back.
Exhibiting and selling her artwork in Floressence has given her a new dimension in art and enough encouragement to last for a long time.
Botanical art is now her zeal and passion.
