In 2001 Robyn commenced botanical illustration training at the Margaret Saul School of Botanical Art at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, Brisbane. Earlier in life she completed short courses in life drawing and print making through East Sydney Technical College, and
some theatrical design training.
Robyn enjoys working in pen and ink, scraperboard and watercolour and keeps sketch journals during adventures in the outdoors. She provided sketches for signage at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, and her paintings can be found in the collections of a number of garden lovers in SE Queensland. Her work is gradually migrating from botanicals into natural history subjects and themes.
She is a member of the Botanical Artists’ Society of Queensland Inc. and also collaborates in the ‘Botanical Art on the Sunshine Coast’ group and the Collaboration of Maleny Artists (COMA).
